Everything seemed perfectly normal to Marg and Jack on that lovely morning when they were doing their spring-cleaning—until Jack emerged from the attic with a mysterious stack of papers.

There was nothing out of the ordinary with the stack of papers, except that they were neatly bound, exactly like a manuscript with a heavier bond white front and back cover. The front cover had a rectangular opening on the upper end of it. Peaking out of the hole was the following words, all in a large, bold Arial type font:

Collection II

When Marg gets over the initial shock of finding yet another set of papers in her home, she and Jack decide that once again, Jack will take care of everything.

The result— Collection II. Take a journey with Marg and Jack through this collection of short stories, filled with tales of vampires and dragons, a housewife who decides that enough is enough, and a ghost seeking revenge. These are just a few of the stories that author Barbara Anna Marjanovic has used to create a literary treasure in which the unbelievable

somehow becomes believable.

The whole situation started not more than ten years ago. I was 18. I enrolled in a prestigious university, began Donna Lake 's story. Then, she met Matthew Manchino, a smooth, suave Italian boy with all the right moves. At first life was good, marriage came and life began, one that was full of hope. She had everything; a good-looking husband, a beautiful home, and her school--then it all changed. Drugs, arms dealing--they all became part of life and life wasn't as wonderful as Donna thought it would be. Each day went by, and each day was worse than the next. What was she to do? One day, she woke up and her whole world fell apart--she was dead on paper, but now she had a chance to get her own revenge--through the FBI. Yet, the FBI has its own twists and turns, moles and other insiders, and Donna becomes their player. Who does Donna believe? Is there anyone she can trust? Pawn: A Novel is a book about love, lies, deception and a woman's need to survive. It’s Donna's tale--her life.
